We had planned for Andrew to be on Skype, but I started to worry the night before that he would somehow not hear the gender because of all the noise, and then be the last one to find out. So Beth gave me the idea to have it just be me and him in the room to find out first, and then bring everyone else in afterwards. I'm SO glad she did! The ultrasound tech was the same one we had for Olivia and we just love her. The baby popped up on the screen, and we both looked at each other and mouthed "I think it is a girl", but we really didn't have a great view. She started doing measurements till the baby moved in a better position to see, and all of a sudden she whispered to me "It is a boy!" I got to tell Andrew, and then I cried like a baby:)
We had Olivia came in next to tell her she was getting a brother! She honestly could care less whether it was a boy or girl, so I'm not sure she even knew what we were talking about. She was semi-concerned about me laying on the table with a doctor in the room. We called the rest of the family in and told Olivia to tell them the news! She smiled really big and said "IT IS A GIRL". Ha! Andrew and I laughed and then told them, no, it is actually a BOY!!
The room was so full of people. The ultrasound tech was so sweet to put up with us :)
Olivia just wandered from aunt to uncle:)
My family was so excited to see the baby! It made the whole experience special and fun, even though Andrew couldn't be there in person. Just looking through these pictures makes me miss all my family, and I feel so blessed that this baby is being born into the BEST family. I was worried that seeing the baby would make me miss Andrew even more than I already do. But just like Olivia brings me so much joy each and every day, seeing this baby gave me the same feeling. I can't wait to meet this little boy and be his mama. Now if we can just choose a name!
